Dale M. Hamilton

Dale M. Hamilton, 86, of Lake of the Woods - Bremen, formerly of Griffith, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Bremen Health Care Center in Bremen. He was born on February 1, 1923, in Flat Rock, IL, to Willis & Ruth (Miller) Hamilton.

He married Florean Bowman on December 31, 1943.

Dale worked at DuPont in East Chicago for 38 years. He loved to water ski and jet ski and in later years enjoyed taking care of his yard and flowers.

Survivors include his Daughter Margaret (James) Jacka of Bristol, 1 granddaughter: Deanna Waterloo, 2 step-grandsons: Ted Jacka, Mike (Debbie) Jacka, 2 great-grandsons: Justin and Eric, 3 step-great-grandsons: Josh, Nick & Nathan, Close friends: Dale (Lyla) Marks, who was like a son to him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years.

Services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 23, 2009, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Burial will take place at the Bremen Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
