Dale F. Pittman, 78, of Bremen, passed away at 9:05 pm, Saturday, December 26, 2015 in his home surrounded by family. Dale was born on October 16, 1937, the son of the late Roscoe and Catherine (Daley) Pittman. On March 2, 1968, he married Sally Swartzlander. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sally; four children, Stephen E. (Michelle) Pittman, Stephanie L. Richard, Gayle (Terry) Graverson and Rick Andrews, all of Bremen; nine grandchildren, Dustin Pittman, Brittney Pittman, Evan Wilson, Jaden Wilson, Jacob Richard, Tony Richard, Jessica (Dan) Flores, Marty (Mindy) Graverson and Regan (Jace) Freeman, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Phillips of Elkhart. He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Chalmer Pittman, Dave Pittman, Jim Pittman, Patty Null, Mary Lou Stutzman and Nancy Jaret. Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over 16 years at the former Copperfield, which is now Southwire. He was also the former owner of Lake of the Woods Grocery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p m, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with military honors.
