Marcia V. Wagner, of Bremen, passed away on January 10, 2016 at Signature Health Care of Bremen. Marcia was born on June 9, 1921 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Hetznecker. Marcia graduated from Aquinas High School in La Crosse after attending Catholic schools throughout her education. In July of 2015, she was recognized as the oldest living graduate of Aquinas High School. On June 30, 1945, she married Stuart Wagner of Bremen, who was the son of Henry Nelson and Sadie Pearl (Engel) Wagner. Marcia is survived by her three son, James S. (Rita) Wagner of Ft. Wayne, Mark E. (Jean) Wagner of Bremen and Paul N. (Laura) Wagner of Warsaw. Her boys were the center of Marcia’s life, but she worked for 28 years at Bornemann Products in Bremen. Marcia worked another 8 years as secretary at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bremen. Marcia was an active member at St. Dominic’s after her move to Bremen and taught Sunday school to third graders there for 52 years. In addition to her sons, Marcia is survived by 12 grandchildren, Kathryn, Marcus, Gregory, Jody, Delia, Andrew, Anthony, Wendy, Jackson, Stuart, Amanda and Kelly along with 11 great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin. Marcia was predeceased by her husband, Stuart, her parents, sisters, Rita Fahey and Mary Hetznecker, sister-in-law, Ernestine Siegel and two grandchildren, Jerome and Jeffrey Wagner. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Buck, Signature Bremen Health Care and Hospice Care for their years of care of Marcia. Visitation will be at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen with one hour of visitation prior to the Mass. Rev. Bob Lengerich will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Donations in Marcia’s memory may be made to Aquinas High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin or to the Women’s Care Center in Plymouth, Indiana.
