Hugo Holm

Hugo Holm, 90, of Bremen, passed away at 2:15 am, Friday, January 29, 2016 in his home surrounded by family. Hugo was born in Tyler, MN on March 16, 1925, the son of George and Anna (Johansen) Holm. On February 3, 1951, he married Mary Turbes in St. Dionysius, Tyler, MN. He is survived by his loving wife Mary of Bremen; five children, Jan (Linda) Holm of Batesville, IN, Julie (Gary) Christerson of Rockaway Beach, OR, Jean (Ross) Schott of Mishawaka, Jacquelyn (Michael) Bradford of Indianapolis, IN and Jayne (Barclay) Grayson of Fishers, IN; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a special nephew, Brent Lineberry of Bremen. He is preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Eric Bradford and Matthew Christerson; great granddaughter, Emerson Holm and siblings, Haakon Holm, Ellen Welch, Norman Holm and Sigrund Hadd Garner. Hugo proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked at Bendix for many years before his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Bourbon American Legion. He will be remembered for his love of reading, fishing and the outdoors. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, February 1, 2016 in St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service from 10:00-12:00 in the Good Shephard Hall of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Rev. Bob Lengerich will officiate.
