Ted Graverson, 80, of Bremen, went to be with his Heavenly Father at 1:30 pm, Monday, March 21, 2016 following complications from major surgery at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. He will be missed by family and friends. Ted was the youngest of Theodore E. and Bernece (McMannis) Graverson’s seven children. He was born at the family farm, just south of Bremen, on April 1, 1935. He played basketball at Bremen High School and graduated in 1954. On September 4, 1954, shortly after graduation, he married Virginia Gerber, who survives. Together they had four children; Terry (Gayle) Graverson of Bremen, Cheryl (David) Klinedinst of Goshen, Julie (Ross) Yoder of Nappanee, and Todd (Shelly) Graverson of Bremen; 14 grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Flores, T. Martin “Marty” (Mindy) Graverson, Regan (Jace) Freeman, Ryan (Amber) Klinedinst, Jeremy (Courtney) Klinedinst, Dustin Klinedinst, Laura (Peter) Werner, Kathryn “Katie” (Chris) White, Kim Yoder, Jamie Yoder, Ryan Yoder, Samantha (Brad) Wilsey, Tricia (Kellin) Cripe, and Shayna Graverson; 12 great grandchildren, Nora, Emma, Tyrus, Evie, Turner, Natalie, Nathan, Jayson, Jaxon, Brooks, Rosie, and Millie. He is also survived by Sandra Dunlap of Bremen, who shared Ted’s life for many years, sister, Maree Klopfenstein of South Bend, brother, John Graverson of Bremen and many nieces and nephews. Ted was a lifetime member of the First United Church of Christ, Bremen and a former Worshipful Master of the Bremen Chapter of F & AM Masonic Lodge, and a 50 year member. After retiring from SKF Bearing, where he worked for over 40 years, he spent many winters in Florida. Ted was a devoted Notre Dame fan and enjoyed playing golf, especially when he was able to beat his brother, John. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Friday, March 25, 2016 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen, with a Masonic Service to be held at 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 26, 2016 in First United Church of Christ, 323 S. Center St., Bremen with one hour of visitation prior to the service in the church. Pastor Thomas Dean will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to First United Church of Christ.
