Carl E. Smith

Carl Eugene Smith passed away suddenly after a brief illness on April 22, 2016 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was 78. He was born to Flora and Henry Smith on February 17, 1938 in Bremen, IN. Both of his parents preceded him in death. Carl was a well-known and lifelong resident of Bremen. He was especially known for his huge sense of humor and gentle spirit all his life. Later in life, he was well cared for by Lowell Martin of Bremen and the staff of Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne, IN where he lived out his final years. Carl was a long time employee of Atkins Industries Corp in Bremen where he retired. His siblings, Herman Smith and Jo Ann Gild both of Hawaii, George Smith and Robert Smith both of Plymouth, IN, and Clara Mae Pfiefer, Bremen, IN survive him along with a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 29th, 2016
