Ellen R. Brooks

Ellen R. Brooks, age 68, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on July 9, 1937, in Chehales, Washington, to Charles & Beulah (Hall) Phelps.

On April 2, 1957, she married Ted R. Brooks, he survives.

A lifelong Milford resident, Ellen was retired from Johnson Controls in Goshen with over 42 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Matron, Graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, Washington, and the Johnson Controls Retirees Club in Goshen.

She is survived by her husband, Ted. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers: George and Charles "Chuck" Phelps.

Services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Jess Beer and Walt Steffen will officiate. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
