Jackie D. Ray

Jackie Dean Ray, 76, of Plymouth, passed away at 4:36 am, Monday, May 23, 2016 in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Jackie was born on May 5, 1940 in Orleans, IN, the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Therman) Ray. On April 26, 1993 he married Garnet Rose Nick. She survives, along with their 12 children; Toni (Steve) Orton of Elkhart, Rick Weston of North Liberty, Tom (Judy) Weston of Plymouth, Janet (George) Talos of Goshen, Damon Scott Ray of Glendale, AZ, Cheryl (Melvin) Hochstetler of Bremen, Kenneth (Vanessa) Smith of Yukon, OK, Deb Steinbauer of Union, MI, Rodney (Michelle) Smith of Bremen, Jim (Debbie) Smith of Bremen, Brent Younger of Washington D.C., and Tracy (Wade) Kertai of Bremen. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jackie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for the Spinkler Fitters Union #669. His hobbies included going to auctions, and traveling on hunting trips with friends. A private family service will be held. Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 SR 331, Bremen is assisting with arrangements.
