Lamar D. Whitehead

LaMar D. Whitehead, age 89, of Dewart Lake, Milford, Indiana, passed away at Goshen General Hospital on Wednesday, April 5, 2006. He was born on April 30, 1916, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to Hallet & Maude (Fisher) Whitehead.

On December 6, 1935, he married Phyllis M. Sauer. She survives.

Living in Wyatt until moving to Dewart Lake in 1973, LaMar was a Contractor. He was also a Patron Eagle and a Member of the South Bend Eagles, Lodge 435.

Survivors include his wife: Phyllis M. Whitehead of Dewart Lake, Milford. Two sons: Lewis (Barbara) Whitehead of Bremen and Hal (Carol) Whitehead of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Two brothers: Delbert of Bremen and Dale Whitehead of Mishawaka. 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter: Jane Schafer.

Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Bremen Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel at the Bremen Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goshen Hospice.
