Ronald Lee Thompson, 76, of Bremen, passed away at 1:55 am, Friday, June 3, 2016 in Signature Health Care of Bremen. Ronald was born on January 22, 1940, the son of the late John and Ruth E. (White) Thompson. Ron was affectionately known as “Santa Claus” by many and enjoyed being Santa for family and friends. He was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church of Nappanee, Nappanee Conservation Club and the NRA. He is survived by his daughter, Connie (David) Gill of Bremen; three grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Cleveland of Elkhart, Nathan Cleveland of Nappanee and Tara (Jeremy) Cleveland-Little of Syracuse; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Kay (Al) Reniger of Hudson, FL and Carol Clingenpeel of South Bend and several nieces and nephews. A time of remembrance will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Brethren in Christ Church, 1601 N. Main St., Nappanee. Memorial contributions may be made to Brethren in Christ Church or Southern Care Hospice.
