Judith Strouse

Judith M. Strouse, 79, of Wakarusa, passed away at 1:00 am, Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Signature Health Care of Bremen. Judith was born on December 9, 1936, the daughter of the late Elmer and Cecile (Manuwal) Smith. She is survived by two children, Diana (David) Schrock of Wakarusa and Russell Strouse of Longwood, FL; three grandchildren, Brittany (Justin) Prawat, Courtney (Michael) Blackford and Zachary Schrock; and one great grandchild, Quinn. She is also survived by three siblings, Tom Smith of Osceola, Roger Smith of Osceola, and Janice Mabry of Texas as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by numerous cousins and in particular, a very special cousin Marilynn Lewis who was like a sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers. Judith was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church of Apopka, FL. She worked for many years in Medical Records at a hospital in Florida. She became very close to the patients she met and they became part of her extended family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Calvary Chapel, 53494 Fir Road, Granger with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
