Fayetta Ruth (Hostetler) Zehner

Fayetta Ruth (Hostetler) Zehner, age 102, of 316 Woodies Lane, Bremen, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the Bremen Health Care Center. She was born in Lapaz, Indiana, on July 15, 1903, to Melvin & Eva Carolyn (Clayton) Zehner and Stepmom Ida (Sweeney).

She was married to Welland Zehner, who preceded her in death.

Fayetta lived most of her life in Argos and Bremen, spending some time in Plymouth and Culver. She was a homemaker and worked for the Plymouth Hospital in the laundry. She was a member of the Bremen Church of the Brethren, attended the Poplar Grove Church in Argos and Grace United Methodist Church in Bremen.

Survivors include her son: Gene (Barbara) Zehner of Lodi, California, grandchildren: Timothy Zehner of Tulsa, David Zehner of Tulsa and Deanne Zehner of Lodi, California; Beverly Irvine of Argos; Bonnie Creighbaum of Fort Wayne; Norma Zentz of North Liberty; Michael (Sharon) Houin of Argos; and Tony (Jackie) Houin of Argos. Great-grandchildren: Jason (Christi) Gordon and Karyn (Kevin) Mon; 15 step-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren also survive. A son-in-law: Bernard (Betty) Houin of Argos and a grandson-in-law: Rudy Espinoza of Nappanee also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Welland Zehner, 1 daughter: Evadean Arlene Houin and 1 granddaughter: Barbara Espinoza.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at 10:00AM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Fayetta's Great-Nephew, Pastor Tom Hostetler, will officiate. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday, April 20, 2006, a the funeral home in Bremen.
