Ed Enders, age 64, of North Center Street, Bremen, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 11:53PM in the Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Mishawaka on December 22, 1941, to Marvin & Elsie (Reichert)Enders.
A lifelong Bremen resident, Ed formerly owned the Marathon Service Station in Bremen. He formerly served on the Bremen Police Force for 16 years and retired from the Bremen Public Schools in January of 2006, where he worked as Head Custodian. Ed was also a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Bremen VFW. He was actively involved with the 8th grade class Veterans Program at the School in Bremen.
Survivors include 2 sons: Seth (Keri) Enders of Plymouth and Dane Enders of Lafayette, Indiana. His father: Marvin "AB" Enders of Bremen, also survives. Ed has 6 grandchildren surviving: Llene, Rylee, and Evan Enders at home in Plymouth and Jordan and Jensyn Enders also at home. His sister Mary (Calvin) Carlin of Pierceton survives. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mary Enders.
Graveside services with Honors will be held on Friday, May 5, 2006, at 1:30PM at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Monday, April 24, 2006, at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Memorials may be made to the Bremen Middle School 8th Grade Veterans' Program c/o Bremen Schools.
