Betty Thelma (Kowallik) Rollert

Betty Thelma (Trump) Kowallik Rollert, 91, Madison, Alabama on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in Madison, Alabama. She was born on January 24, 1918 in Middlebury, IN to Samuel & Ruby (Lambert) Trump. She married Leo F. Kowallik who preceded her in death. She then married Vernon “Bushy” Rollert who also preceded her in death.

Betty taught 3rd grade in Syracuse Elementary School system for many years before earning a Master’s Degree from Indiana University in Psychometric Testing. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a Life Sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and founding member of Carnegie Visual Art Center in Decatur, Alabama. Betty retired from the Miami/Dade County School System in Miami, Florida in the late 1970’s.

Survivors include son Richard (Dee) Kowallik if Madison, Alabama, daughter Ann Cavender of Syracuse, 5 grandchildren: Tammy Elliott, Rob (Lori) deSomer, Heather (Buster) Cleavenger, Jenna deSomer and Wendy (Jamie) Jones, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, both husbands brother Lloyd Trump, sister Leona Feasel, and one son David Kowallik.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
