Mary Jo Shumaker, 67, of Bremen, passed away at 8:20 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Community Hospital of Bremen. Mary Jo was born on August 10, 1949, the daughter of George and Esther (Sauter) Hill. She is survived by her partner of 28 years, Pud Main; and her three children, Deborah Hill, Brian (Tracy) Shumaker, and Amy Shumaker; mother, Esther Hill; five grandchildren, Chase (Haily) Hill, Austin Sizemore, Christopher Riley, Zack Shumaker, and Bryson Shumaker; one great grandson, Liam Hill and brothers, Michael and James Hill. She is also survived by four step children, Curtis (Deb) Main, Scott (Shirley) Main, Braden (Cindy) Main, and Brenna (Steve) Zbieranski; and seven step grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Andrew, Brittney, Chelci, Gavin, and Kody. Mary Jo was a life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 8972, where she served as Past President. She will be remembered for her love of camping, boating and wintering in Florida. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 pm, Monday, October 24, 2016 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. A funeral will follow at 5:00 pm in the funeral home, Pastor Jim Morse will officiate. There will be no graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 8972, 1750 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN 46506.
