Norma Sue Sherk

Norma Sue Sherk, 76, of Plymouth, passed away at 1:00 am, Friday, November 11, 2016 in the South Bend Hospice House. Sue was born on September 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Merle and Mabel (Ross) Zehner. On February 26, 1961, she married Ronald Sherk. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald; three children, Brenda (Carroll) Baker of Plymouth, Bruce (Carol) Sherk of North Liberty, and Brad (Brandy) Sherk of Plymouth; eight grandchildren, Michael (Lori) Baker of Plymouth, Matthew Baker of Chicago, Austin (Kim) Baker of Indianapolis, Adam Baker of Plymouth, Laura (fiancé Timmy) Secor of Lakeville, Nicholas Sherk of Plymouth, Lucy Sherk of Plymouth, and Samuel Sherk of Plymouth; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Karen (Butch) Rozycki of North Liberty and Jerry Zehner of Fishers and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Sue was a member of Lakeville United Methodist Church. She worked for various local businesses, including a Dental Hygienist in South Bend, Bremen Dairy Queen for numerous years, Plymouth Wal-Mart and managing multiple restaurants. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and her flower gardens. Her greatest love was taking care of her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday, November 14, 2016 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN 46536.
