Aldean F. Feldman

Aldean Frances Feldman, 101, passed away of natural causes on December 28, 2016 at Signature Health Care of Bremen. Aldean was born on September 23, 1915 to John F. and Mary M. (Gauger) Laidig on the family farm south of Bremen. She lived in the area her entire life where she could be near her family. Family was important to her and she prayed for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren almost every day. On August 29, 1937 in Brook, Indiana, she married Willard L. Feldman. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2007. She spent her life doing what she loved – being a farmer’s wife and raising a family. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son, JN, and his wife, Karen, along with brothers John Laidig, Silas Laidig, George Laidig and Arthur Laidig and sisters Clara Klopfenstein, Minnie Zeltwanger, Caroline Germann, Elizabeth Schlatter, Mae Schumacher, Rose McGuire and Edna Marohn. Surviving are a son, Verdon (Becky) Feldman of Bremen, ten grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. No one knows how many eggs she gathered or cows she milked, how many peaches or jars of applesauce she canned or how many tears she dried. No one knows if she sang all the songs she knew, or hugged all the people she loved, or prayed all the prayers she had in her heart, but what she did was enough, because she left this world a better place than she found it. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12 noon at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Directly following, a committal service will be held at 12:30 pm at the Bremen Cemetery to which all are invited, followed by a celebration of Aldean’s life at 1:30 pm at Bremen Bible Church, 124 N. Baltimore St., Bremen, of which she was a member. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to Bremen Bible Church, 124 N.
