Tilda Stidams, 88, of Syracuse passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 5, 1921 in Oneida, Kentucky to Wesley Blaine & Sylvani (Stewart) Davidson. On February 27, 1937 she married Delbert Stidams, he preceded her in death in 1997. She lived in Oneida for approximately 18 years, moved to Salem, Indiana in 1940, and Goshen and North Webster area ever since. She also wintered in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Tilda was a homemaker, retired from Syracuse Rubber as an inspector, and was affiliated with the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
Survivors include 8 sons: Joe (Mary) Stidams of West Monroe, LA; Carl (Pam) Stidams of West Monroe, LA; Don (Sandy) Stidams of Columbus, OH; Delbert Jr. (Donna) Stidams of Oregon; Brad Stidams of Larwill; George (Joanne) Stidams of North Webster; Dale (Sherry) Stidams of Larwill; and Wayne (Tracy) Stidams of Michigan. 6 daughters: Louise (Dallas) Wakley of Goshen; Vannie Swinheart of Warsaw; Patricia (Kevin) Koher of North Webster; Billy (Dan) May of North Webster; Kellie (John) Sicks of Pierceton; and Liza (Larry) Jones of Syracuse. Several Grand, Great Grand, and Great Great Grandchildren. She was also preceded by 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 1 great granddaughter.
Services for Tilda will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, 10:30 AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse with Pastor Harlan Steffen officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
