During his career, he was promoted several times: first from Electric Department groundman to lineman, then in the 1970’s to Electric Department Superintendent and finally in the 1980’s to Town Director of Operations. For 13 years after his retirement, he was a part-time consultant to the Town. Dudley was a lifetime member of First United Church of Christ, Bremen, where he served on the consistory. He always loved being around his immediate and extended family. He was also a very civic-minded individual, devoted to the Town of Bremen and its welfare.
