Thelma L. Lavine

Thelma L. LaVine, 94, of Nappanee, passed away at 9:35 pm, Friday, March 24, 2017 in Signature Health Care of Bremen.  Thelma was born on December 12, 1922, the daughter of Louis and Ella Bliley.  On February 14, 1943, she married her sweetheart, Alfred LaVine.  They were married for 73 years before his passing on November 16, 2016. She is survived by three children; Diane (Robert) Coryn, Marc (Pamela) LaVine, and Eric (Vivian) LaVine; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Trisha LaVine, infant sister, Lavera, and brother, Kenneth. Thelma is a 1941 graduate of Madison Township.  She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Woodland and was the owner/operator of Heritage House of Interiors, which served the interior décor industry, for over three decades. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm, Wednesday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.
