Martin L. Zajicek, age 55, of Pierceton, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 25, 1951, to William & Elinor (Ginther) Dybala.
On January 29, 1972, he married Christine Clancy, she survives.
Martin moved to the Barbee Lakes area from Chicago 6 years ago. He was a truck driver and former owner/operator of Nitram Industries. He was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, he was a US Marine Veteran and he enjoyed coaching baseball and fishing.
Survivors include his wife: Christina of Pierceton, 5 Daughters: Candace Bryant of South Bend, Kimberly Frias of Hawaii, Amanda Zajicek of Pierceton, Jill Zajicek of Chicago, Arielle Zajicek of Pierceton, 1 Son: Jacob Zajicek of Pierceton. His Mother: Elinor Dybala of Florida, 6 Grandchildren: Rachael Bryant, Dakota Frias, and Montana Rain Frias, Tony Morris, Christian Martinez, Zachary Martinez, 2 Sisters: Carol Jensen and Sandra Dybala both of Mississippi, Aunt: Marion Nichols of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at 10:30 AM at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church in Syracuse. Father Terry Place will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Mishler-Eastlund funeral home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
