Andrew Hygema

Andrew "Andy" Hygema, age 19, 0f Riley Rd., Bremen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2006 at 12:40 A.M. He was a giving and compassionate person in life and even in his death as an organ donor. He passed away at University Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Andy was born on October 7, 1986 in Bremen, IN to Roger & Ronda (Small) Hygema. He was a lifetime area resident and he worked part-time during the summer at the Bremen Cemetery.
Andy was a freshman at Purdue University, he was on the Dean's list, he was Team Leader for the Boilermaker Gold Rush, member of the Liberal Arts Student Council and he attended Nappanee Missionary Church located at 70417 State Road 19 in Nappanee, IN. He also participated in the Salem United Methodist Church Youth Band in Bremen, playing the guitar.

Andy is survived by: His parents: Ronda & Roger Hygema, 1 Sister: Candice (Byron) Powell of Oswego,IL, his Maternal Grandparents: Raymond & Sharon Small of Logansport, 5 Aunts: Peggy Funk, Carolyn (Brian) Costello both of Logansport, Loraine (Steve) Billisitz of North Liberty, Becky Sue Hygema of Bremen, Jeannie (Bill) Swan of Bremen. 5 Uncles: William (Melinda) Small of Kokomo, Richard (Robin) Small of Logansport, Ron (Marilyn) Hygema of Osceola, Tom (Donna) Wallis of Fort Worth, TX, Rodney (Judy) Hygema of Lakeville. Numerous cousins. Andy was preceded by his Paternal Grandparents: Don & Luella Hygema.

Services for Andy Hygema will be Saturday, June 3rd, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Nappanee Missionary Church, Pastor Norm Reimer presiding. Friends may call on Friday June 2nd, 2006 from 2-8PM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and one hour prior to the service at the church.
