Max Noel, age 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born on July 30, 1932, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Lewis Noel and Juanita (Brookins).
He married Arietta McMann. She survives.
Max has lived in Indianapolis; Greenwood; Moline, Illinois; Bettendorf, Iowa; Spring Hill, Tennessee; and finally Noblesville, Indiana. He retired as a Supervisor from John Deere in East Moline, Illinois, in 1996. He had also worked for I.G.W.R. Buehler Corp in Indianapolis for 15 years. Max was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville and was a member of the VFW Post 45, also in Noblesville. He had been a 10 year member of the Deer Valley Antique Tractor Club in Moline, Illinois. Max served his country in the U.S. Army being awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Max was an avid fisherman and he was an Indy and NASCAR Racing fan.
Survivors include his wife: Arietta T. "Artie" Noel of Noblesville, 1 daughter: MaxAnne (Guy) Ragusa of Covington, Louisiana, 1 son: Brad A. (Carolyn) Noel of Spring Hill, Tennessee, 1 stepson: Mike (Peggy) Hamilton of Fishers, 1 granddaughter: Brooklyn Noel of Franklin, Tennessee, 1 grandson: Blake Noel of Spring Hill, Tennessee, 2 sisters: Pat (Charles) Mishler of New Haven, Indiana, and Kay (Robert) Ahrns of North Webster, Indiana, 1 brother: Mike Noel of Leesburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Vloris (Gene) "Butch" Noel, 1 infant son: Tracey Lewis Noel.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E. 191st Street, Noblesville, Indiana. Reverend Tom Metzger will officiate. Friends may call from 5-7PM on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville and on Friday, June 30, 2006, from 1-3PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Following the visitation on Friday, June 30, there will be a graveside service with full military rites at the Leesburg Cemetery. Reverend Everett Tom will officiate.
