Zella M. Nitz

Zella M. Nitz, 68, of Bremen, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born on October 2, 1941, in Jerseyville, IL, to Carl & Christina (Schaeffer) Bowman.

She married Ted Nitz on June 13, 1964. He survives.

A Homemaker, Zella was a member of the Bremen United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Community Hospital of Bremen.

Survivors include Husband Ted Nitz of Bremen, 2 Sons: Ted (Julie) Nitz, Jr. of Saltillo, Mississippi, Jeff (Andrea) Nitz of South Bend; 2 Daughters: Debra (Richard) Shutter of Mundelein, IL, Sheri (Daniel) Cervantes of Goshen; 14 Grandchildren. Her Mother Christina Bowman of Alton, IL, 3 Brothers: David Bowman of Aurora, Colorado, Charles Bowman of Alton, IL, Michael Bowman of Alton, IL, 1 sister: Judy Wolff of Lesterville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Bremen United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Mishler Funeral Home, in Bremen.
