Viola Richcreek Sheely

Viola Richcreek Sheely, age 87, of Lafayette, Indiana, formerly of North Webster, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2006 at 7:25 p.m. in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana of natural causes.  Viola was born on March 18, 1919 in Tippecanoe Township, Indiana to the late Ray & Ethel (Kuhn) Scott.  On April 4, 1936, she married Lewis Richcreek, who preceded her in 1974.  Viola was a Homemaker and former owner of the North Webster Motel. On November 19, 1986 she married Elmer Sheely, who survives, and resides in Lafayette. Viola moved from North Webster to Florida in 1986, returning to Indiana in 2005, where she made her home in Lafayette. She was a member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren and a former member of the Efficient Homemaker's Club of North Webster. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis Richcreek and a son, Larry Richcreek. Surviving are her husband Elmer Sheely of Lafayette, Indiana. 2 Daughters, Eileen (Junior) Keppen of North Webster and Jerilyn (Charles) Hunter of Leesburg, Indiana. 2 Sons, Curtis (Betty) Richcreek of Syracuse, Indiana and Max (Sue) Richcreek of North Webster. 14 - Grandchildren and 20 - Great-Grandchildren also survive. Services for Viola will be on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse, with Joe Barrett presiding. Burial will follow in the North Webster Mock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the Funeral Home in Syracuse. The Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse is assisting the family with arrangements.
