Donald M. Watson

Donald M. Watson, age 83, of Syracuse, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center in Milford. He was born on April 15, 1923, in Randolph County, Indiana, to Gilbert & Maria (Swingley) Watson.

In 1941 he married Georgia Maxine (Cannady). She preceded in January of 1979. On June 9, 1979 he married Marie (Beamer) Gardner, she survives.

Donald moved to the area 45 years ago from Hartford City, IN. He was a Farmer and Real Estate Broker in Syracuse, and he worked for Ford Tractor Sales in Hartford City. He retired from RR Donnelley in Warsaw.

Donald served he country in the US Army Air Force WW II Veteran. He was a graduate of Greene Township High School in Parker, IN and he was an avid boater and water skier.

Survivors include: His Wife: Marie of Syracuse, 3 Daughters: Sharon (Charlie) Stuckman of Syracuse, Alesia (Steve) Kiser of Cromwell, Mitzie Winkleman of Tallmadge, OH, 2 Stepdaughters: Kim (Gene) Gingerich of Goshen, Chris (Doug) Bitting of Syracuse, 1 Stepson: Paul Gardner of Milford, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006, at 10:30AM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse, Pastor Harlan Steffen will officiate. A full Military Graveside service will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 26, 2006, 4:00-8:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse.
