Thurlow S. Mock, age 84, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at his home.
He was born on December 21, 1921 to Clarence & Rhoda (Eberly) Mock. On August 8, 1942, he married Mary Kitchen, she survives. Thurlow was a lifetime area resident, with the exception of time served overseas. He worked as a Farmer and School Bus Driver for Wawasee from 1949-1975.
He was a graduate of Syracuse High School, he attended Manchester College and he served his country during World War II in the Army 101st Airborne from 1942 - 1945 during World War II. He was a member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren and a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans.
He is survived by: His Wife: Mary Mock of Syracuse, 1 Daughter: Patti (Larry) Martindale of Syracuse, 1 Son: Steven (Georgie) Mock of Logansport, 5 Grandchildren: Christine (Tony) Hodge of Fort Wayne, Cherie (Steve) Sweatland of Syracuse, Craig Martindale of Syracuse, Matthew (Tuesday) Mock of Decatur and Joshua Mock of Logansport, 7 great grandchildren, 1 Sister-in-law: Kate Mock of Syracuse and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:30AM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse, Pastor Dean Kagarise will officiate, followed by a Full Military Graveside Service in Syracuse Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 4-8PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel.
