Derek James Aguilar II, age 23, of Nappanee, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2006, as a result of injuries he sustained in an auto accident.
He was born on June 19, 1983, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Derek James Aguilar and Marcia Ann Hardy.
Derek was a lifetime area resident of the Nappanee area. He worked as a woodworker at Kountry Wood in Nappanee and was formerly a transporter for Hoosier Transit also of Nappanee.
He was a 2002 Graduate of Northwood High School and he attended First Baptist Church in Bremen. He was also a member of the Nappanee Boys and Girls Club.
Survivors include his Mother: Marcia (Joseph) Hunter of South Bend, his Father: Derek James Aguilar of Nappanee, 2 Sisters: Danielle Aguilar of South Bend, Shaina Hunter of South Bend, 1 Brother: Ryan Hunter of South Bend, Maternal Grandmother: Sheila Hardy of Bremen, Paternal Grandfather: Danny Witwer of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother: Judy Witwer, Grandfather: Bruce Hardy and a Cousin: Jason Hardy.
Services will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 10:30AM at the First Baptist Church,414 East Lincoln, Bremen, IN 46506. Pastor Jerry Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-8PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at the Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 State Road 331 in Bremen.
