Juanita Felts, age 75, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born September 6, 1931, in Huntertown, Indiana, to Ernest and Ada (Reed) Rollins.
On December 6, 1950, she married Gene Felts, he survives.
A lifetime area resident, Juanita retired from Johnson Controls in 1984, after 17 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 223 Ladies Auxiliary in Syracuse and a 1950 graduate of Cromwell High School.
Survivors include her husband: Gene "Peanuts" Felts of Syracuse, 1 Son: Walter (Phyllis) of Des Plaines, Illinois, 1 Daughter: Carol (Jeff) Butts of Grand Haven, Michigan, 5 Grandchildren: Jessica (Ian) Butts-Bischoff of Hartford, Michigan, Alli Butts of Grand Haven, Michigan, Jake Butts of Grand Haven, Michigan, Calee Felts of Des Plaines, Illinois, Kevin Felts of Des Plaines, Illinois, 1 Sister: Irene Fisher of Cromwell, 3 Brothers: Herman (Gail) Rollins of Goshen, Kenny Rollins of Cromwell and Eugene Rollins of Syracuse. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers: James and Clyde and a Sister: Alma.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at 10:00AM, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor David Herr will officiate. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8PM Friday, October 6, 2006, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 223 Ladies Auxiliary.
