Janet Trojan

Janet Elizabeth Trojan, age 86, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on August 26, 1920, in St. Paul, Nebraska, to Ralph & Clara (Bartle) Haggart.

In May, 1949, she married John "Warren" Trojan. He preceded in 1974.

Raised in St. Paul, Janet moved to Illinois, then to North Webster in 1997. She was a homemaker and a reporter for Press Publications of Wheaton, Illinois. Janet was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Pi Beta Phi (Journalism sorority), a 1938 graduate of St. Paul High School in Nebraska and a graduate of the University of Nebraska in 1943, majoring in Journalism.

Survivors include 2 sons: Scott (Debra) Trojan of North Webster, Eric (Holly) Trojan of Syracuse, 10 grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother: Richard Haggart.

Services will be held Friday, October 20, 2006, at 4:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Kent Butcher of the Vineyard Church will officiate. Burial will take place at the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul, Nebraska. There will be no visitation.
