Vicki A. Prickett

Vicki A. Prickett, age 58, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on February 4, 1948, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Kenneth & Mary (Myers) Shinn.

On May 26, 1995, she married Tom Prickett. He survives.

Vicki grew up in Middlebury and moved to Syracuse in 1985, from Elkhart. She was a Speech and English teacher at Northridge High School and a substitute teacher at Wawasee Schools. Vicki was also a Realtor/Broker with Prickett's Properties in Syracuse. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church where she played in the hand bell choir, co-founder of the Lake Area Community Band, former President of the Kosciusko County Board of Realtors, member of the Indiana State Board of Professional Standards, Kiwanis, 1967 Graduate of Jefferson Township High School, and a Graduate of Taylor University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in secondary English education.

Vicki is survived by her parents: Kenneth & Mary Shinn of Elkhart, her husband: Tom, of Syracuse, 1 son: Matthew (Lori) Stoll of Branson, Missouri, 2 daughters: Kris Ellen (Ted) Schenkel and family of Warsaw, Mary Ellen Prickett of Syracuse, 1 brother: Lyle (Sharon) Shinn of Elkhart, 1 granddaughter: Zoe Ellen White, and 2 nieces: Jennifer and Jamie.

Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006, at 11:00AM, at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Pastor Ken Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM on Friday, October 27, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund or Calvary Unith Methodist Church.
