Ronald E. Leeper, Sr., 82, of Bremen passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at the Community Hospital of Bremen with his daughter by his side.
He was born November 3, 1927 in Marshall County to Earnest & Freda (Scheetz) Leeper. On December 21, 1945 he married Phyllis J. Long, she preceded him in death in 2007.
Also preceding him in death are son Ronald E. Leeper, Jr., infant daughter Brenda J. Leeper, 2 brothers: Jesse & Marvin Leeper and sister Ernestine Stuntz.
Ronald served as sergeant in the US Army, and AAA gun crewman and M-1 rifle marksman, receiving a WWII Victory Metal. He retired from a lifetime of driving semi and was a Bremen Church of God Minister. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch watching people go by and walking his best friend Cody.
Survivors include daughter and caregiver Mary Leeper of Bremen, 2 Grandsons: David (Holly) Leeper of Goshen, Brian (Elizabeth) Leeper of South Bend, 7 great-grandchildren,
2 brothers: Leon (Eunice) Leeper of Bridgman, MI, Dennis (Cindy) Leeper of Bremen
sister Marlena Dube of Bremen, uncle Russel Wagley of Bremen, daughter-in-law: Shirley Leeper of Middlebury.
There will be no visitation, a graveside service will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospital of Bremen.
