Bernard Edward Gotta, Jr.

Bernard Edward Gotta, Jr., age 82, of Syracuse, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne. He was born on June 5, 1924, in Ft. Wayne, to Bernard and Adel (Lehman) Gotta, Sr.

In 1949, he married Patricia (Blackwell). She survives.

A Syracuse area resident, he was a Mass Mutual and Connecticut Mutual General Agent and founded Benefit Plans Incorporated. He was a Member of Saint Martin dePorres Catholic Church in Syracuse, a WWII US Navy Veteran and a 1947 graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Survivors include his wife: Patricia of Syracuse, 6 Children: Michael (Marie) Gotta of Missoula, MT, Elizabeth (James) Degley of Wilmette, IL, Georgia (Joseph) Kandiko of Excelsior, MN, John (Deanna) Gotta of Morton Grove, IL, Mary (Thomas) Domin of Evanston, IL, James (Karin) Gotta of Winnetka, IL, and 13 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 10:30AM at the Saint Martin dePorres Catholic Church, 6941 E. Waco Drive, Syracuse. Graveside services will take place at 1:00PM on Saturday at the Catholic Cemetery in Ft. Wayne. Father Terry Place will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8PM Friday, November 24, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. A Rosary will be said at 7:30PM.
