Lucile K. Annis

Lucile Annis, age 94, of Goshen, passed away Monday, November 27, 2006, at Greencroft in Goshen. She was born on July 29, 1912, in Milford, to Cleo H. & Louella (Bowser) Kline.

On April 5, 1940, she married Charles Annis of Lakeville. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Lucile moved from Minnesota to Lakeville in 1983 and then to Goshen in 1990. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher and taught in Milford, Nappanee, Lakeville and the South Bend School System. She was also a dental assistant to Dr. Hugh Snyder. For many years, they owned and operated the Northern Holiday Resort, a hunting and fishing lodge and cabins located along the Mississippi River west of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Lucile was also a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren in Milford and graduated from Milford High School and Manchester College.

Survivors include her brother Frederick H. Kline, his wife Betty and their daughter Connie K. (Alan) Nowell and their sons Chris and Dana of South Miami, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 Sister: June Clauss and 1 Brother: Donald Kline.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 12:00PM, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Nelson Beer will officiate. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00AM to 12:00PM Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, the Goshen Cancer Center or the Milford Apostolic Christian Church.
