Verna C. Miller

Verna Miller, age 86, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2007, at Bremen Health Care Center. She was born on February 3, 1921, in Ellsworth, Kansas, to Reinhold Julius and Emma Bertha (Peterman) Eilrich.

On December 25, 1941, she married Simon E. "Bud" Miller. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1990.

Moving to Bremen in 1946, Mrs. Miller was a farm wife and homemaker. She was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Chuch in Bremen, the Ladies Sewing Circle and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with the Alzheimers patients at Bremen Health Care Center.

Survivors include 1 Son: Edward (Mia) Miller of Bremen, 1 Daughter: Barbara Voss of Jenison, Michigan, 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband, Simon E. "Bud" Miller, 3 Brothers, Alfred, Martin & Wilbert, 5 Sisters: Rosaline, Viola, Betty, Hilda & Mildred and 1 Son-in-law: Richard.

Services will be held Friday, January 26, 2007, at 11:00AM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM Thursday, January 25, 2007, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bethesda Homes or the charity of choice.
