James Speicher, 73, of Milford, passed away on February 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born on July 25, 1933, in Milford, to Charles & Pauline (O'Haver) Speicher.
On January 16, 1959, he married Nora L. (Nettrouer). She survives.
A lifetime area resident, James founded Arrow Motor Homes and Travel Trailers. He also owned motels in Kentland, Decatur and Columbia City. James was a member of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, a 1951 Graduate of Milford High School, a member of the Maxwelton Golf Club for over 50 years, a US Navy Veteran stationed at Great Lakes, and a member of the American Legion Post 154 in Nappanee.
Survivors include his Wife: Nora, of Milford, 1 Son: Jim (Brenda) Speicher of Goshen, 3 Daughters: Dixie L. Mattern of New Haven, Diane L. (Roger) Kollat of Elkhart, Debra L. (John) Smith of New Paris, 3 Brothers: Louie (Mim) Speicher of Milford, Bill Speicher of Milford, Pat (Sheila) Speicher of Michigan, 10 Grandchildren, 5 Step Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held Friday, February 9, 2007, at 10:30AM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Harlan Steffen will officiate. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the funeral home. Military honors will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
