Robert E. Stevens

Robert E. Stevens, 86, of North Webster, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born on November 29, 1920, in Delaware County, to Edward & Nellie (Gant) Stevens.

He married Mary Simpson December 25, 1946. She preceded in 2000.

Robert moved to North Webster from Wabash in 1979. He retired in 1987 from United Technology in Wabash as Plant Manager. He was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church, American Legion, Disabled Americans Veterans, VFW, Wabash Lions Club, Elks Club, Moose Lodge. Robert was also a member of the North Webster Library Board. He served his country in the Marine Corp. during WWII.

Survivors include 1 daughter: E. Jane (Bryan) Garlotte of Comstock park, MI, 1 Son: Robert Eric Stevens of Austin, TX, and 1 Granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife: Mary and 1 Brother: Clarence James Stevens.

Services will be held on Saturday February 17, 2007, at 3:00 PM, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Scott Mann will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at the North Webster Cemetery. Friends may call on
Friday, February 16, 2007, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home
and one hour prior to services on Saturday, also at the funeral home. Full military honors by North Webster American Legion will take place at the funeral home.
