Ruth E. Robinson, 79, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007. She was born on November 27, 1927, of Missionary Parents, Dr.George D. Strohm & Hazel E. (Hodil) Strohm, in the Philippines.
On April 4, 1952, she married Reverend Kennard Robinson, he survives.
Coming from St. Paul, Minnesota, to Syracuse in 1957, Ruth was a Second Grade teacher at Syracuse Elementary School for 25 years. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse and a devoted Pastor's Wife. Her husband served as Minister at Calvary Unith Methodist Church in Syracuse, Green Center United Methodist Church in Avilla and Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Albion, where she was a previous organist and pianist. She received her Master's Degree from Ball State University, her Bachelor's Degree from Taylor University and Bachelor's of Theology from Crown College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Survivors include her husband: Reverend Kennard Robinson, her sister-in-law and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 11:00AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington Street, Syracuse, IN 46567. Reverend David Herr will officiate. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, March 2, 2007, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Calvary United Methodist Church and again one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
