Margaret B. Hutchings, of Ligonier, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007, at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She was born on June 9, 1922, in Columbia City, IN, to Herbert & Freda (Hursey) Keiser.
She married Robert DeBolt on August 2, 1938, he preceded in March of 1953. On December 30, 1955 she married O. Leon Hutchings, he preceded in October of 1987.
A lifetime area resident, Margaret was a Homemaker, a member of Ligonier United Methodist Church and a member of the Good Samaritans and the Young at Heart Dancers. She enjoyed her grandchildren, music and reading. She made hundreds of dolls and clowns for the church bazaar for many years.
Survivors include her 4 Sons: Roger (Marna) DeBolt of Ligonier, Ronald DeBolt of Sparks, NV, Rickey (Bonnie) DeBolt of Wawaka, IN and Richard (Barbara) DeBolt of Syracuse, IN. 3 Step Children: Shirley (Ronald) Swartz of Ligonier, Estella (David) Spradlin of Mason, OH, and Steven (Judy) Hutchings of Urbana, OH. She has 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Also, 11 Step Grandchildren, 28 Step Great Grandchildren, and 8 Step Great Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Dale (Betty) Keiser and 2 Sisters: Bethleen Downam and Arla Fenning.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Robert and her husband O. Leon, 2 Sons: Robert DeBolt and Kevin Hutchings, 2 Brothers and a Sister.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 1:30 PM at Ligonier United Methodist Church, 466 Townline Rd., Ligonier, IN with Rev. Jean Ness officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Monday, March 5, 2007, at the Ligonier United Methodist Church.
Memorials contributions may be made to Good Samaritans.
