Franklin David Schlotterback, 86, of Kendallville, formerly of Albion, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2007. He was born on June 21, 1920, in Noble County, Indiana, to Thomas and Florence (Ott) Schlotterback.
On September 30, 1962, he married Mary Kathryn Peterson. She survives.
A lifetime Noble County resident, he retired in June of 1985, previously working for Noble County REMC and Prentice Products of Fort Wayne. Franklin was also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo, Florida. He served his country in WWII and the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. He was a Member of the American Legion in Albion Post 246. He also graduated from Indiana Business College with a degree in Accounting.
Survivors include his wife: Mary Kathryn Schlotterback of Kendallville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers: Ira Schlotterback, Harry Schlotterback and Daniel Schlotterback, 2 Sisters: Sara Truelove and Rachel McNeal.
Services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 1:00PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 Orange Street, Albion, Indiana 46701, with the Reverend Daniel Barker officiating. Burial will be at the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam, Indiana. Friends may call from 11-1PM, Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion.
