Alfonso L. Troche

Alfonso Luis Troche, 97 of Bremen died Saturday, June 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1927 in Castaner, Puerto Rico to Felipe Quintana (father) and Rafaela Troche (mother), both deceased. Alfonso is also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Fern Irene (Kring), daughter Julie, and 1 granddaughter, his sisters, Luz Troche Perez, Antonia Troche, and Carmen Quintana, and his brothers, Castos Troche and Alfredo Troche. Alfonso is survived by his brother Confessor and his wife Maria, son Edgardo and his wife Angela, son Daniel, daughter Nancy and her husband Homer Beery and son Jaime and his wife Debra as well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. Alfonso was married May 29, 1949 to Fern Irene Kring in Castaner, Puerto Rico where the two met while working in the in the Church of the Brethren Hospital. Alfonso retired from the Bremen Bearing Company (SKF), Bremen where he worked as maintenance man. He was also a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Mishler Funeral Home 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen.  Pastor Norman Replogle will officiate. Burial will follow at Fair Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to charitywater.org.
