Ardis Hirstein

Ardis Pearl Hirstein, 99, of Bremen, passed away at 3:18 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Mary B’s Group Home of Lakeville. Ardis was born on November 12, 1922 in Bremen to Peter A. and Edna S. (Sauer) Base. On July 24, 1976, she married Carl E. Hirstein. He passed away on August 22, 1996. Ardis is survived by three step children, Darlene Ervin of Bremen, Da le Hirstein of Scottsburg , IN, Paul Hirstein of Valparaiso and Craig Hirstein of Bremen, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Leona Strickland of Granger. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers, Vi rdis, Virgil, Marvin and Devon. She was a member of the former Salem United Methodist Church of Bremen and a member of the O.E.S chapter 479 of Lakeville. She will be remembered for her love of coffee and traveling. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday January 19, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen, with one hour of vis itation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 W . Plymouth St, Bremen, IN 46506.
