Barbara Crothers

Barbara Sue Crothers, 80, of Bremen passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Bremen Hospital. She was born on November 29, 1936 to Richard and Veloice (Mitchell) Whitsel in Bremen. Barbara graduated from Bremen High School and was a lifelong resident of Bremen. She was also artistic, and loved to paint. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her four children, Timothy (Marilyn) O’Connor, Lori Malcolm, Cathy Brown, and Luann Criddle; nine grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen (Keith) Bellman and Kathleen DeLong. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Ritenour and two siblings, Robert Whitsel and Marcia Osterbur. A memorial service in honor of Barbara will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 4, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with one hour of calling prior to the service. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate and burial of ashes will follow at Bremen Cemetery.
