Carroll Schafer

Carroll M. Schafer, 91, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 9:57 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Signature Health Care of Bremen.  Carroll was born on December 30, 1925 in Union Township of St. Joseph Co., IN to the late Edgar F. and Agnes M. (Auer) Schafer.  She is survived by niece, Ronda Schafer and nephew Ryan (Jennifer) Schafer, both of Bremen, as well as great nephew, Kyle Schafer, great niece, Sarah Schafer, and sister in law, Arlene Schafer.  She will be missed by many close friends and extended family.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James E. and Rolland L. Schafer; sister in law, Pauline B. Schafer and former husband, William A. Diener. A lifetime member of St. John United Church of Christ, Woodland and a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Bremen.  As were Carroll’s wishes, there will be no visitation or public services.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Woodland.
