Charles "Bud" Cherry

Charles “Bud” Roland Cherry, 69, of Bremen, passed away at 3:56 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Parkview Regional Medical Center of Ft. Wayne. Bud was born on May 15, 1951 in Birmingham, AL to Sie and Ada Belle (Hall) Cherry. On December 25, 1979, he married Patricia Ann Smith. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of Bremen; four children, Laurie Cherry-Randall of Mishawaka, Buddy (Amy) Cherry of Orlando, FL, Amanda Cherry of Bremen and Dustin (Erica) Cherry of Battle Creek, MI; six grandchildren, Justin Randall, Ashley Randall, Kameryn Cherry, Alexa Sylvester, Mason Hochstetler, and Ryan Smith. He is also survived by his siblings, James Cherry of Mishawaka, Mary Katherine Young of Florence, AL, Linda McCain of Mishawaka and Doris Dover of Mishawaka. Bud retired as a Lieutenant of the Bremen Police Department and most recently worked as a Truck Driver. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the FOP Lodge 195. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. A private family service will be held.
