Charlotte Blum, 88, of Bremen, passed away at 7:45 am, Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Signature Health Care of Bremen. Charlotte was born on August 8, 1932 in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of Josef and Maria Anna (Tomandl) Hauser. She came to the USA in 1953 and became a citizen in 1962. She is survived by her husband, William Blum of Bremen; one son, Clifford (Sandie) Schooler; two step children, William E. (Diane) Blum and Barbara Swearengin; daughter in law, Helen Schooler; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, John Schooler. Charlotte’s mother and father are buried in Vienna, Austria. Her brother’s Karl and Joseph are also buried in Vienna. Charlotte also had a sister named Mitzi, who died before Charlotte was born at the age of 11. Charlotte’s brother, Otto was killed in the war and his grave is in Italy. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Pastor Lynn Breeden will officiate. Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN 46506.
