Charlotte Brock

Charlotte Jeanne Brock, 92, of Wakarusa, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 5:50 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Miller’s Merry Manor of Wakarusa.  Charlotte was born on February 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Grover and Marie (Barkley) Brown. On February 9, 1947, she married Dale E. Brock. He passed away on September 24, 1997. She is also preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Brock and a brother, Raymond Brown. Charlotte is survived by two children; Robert (Linda) Brock of Bremen and Jeanne (Vince) Laurita of Westminster, CO; six grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Laurita of Lakewood, CO, Kristina (Mike) Palmer of Westminster, CO, Ryan (Hanna) Laurita of Stockholm, Sweden, Matthew (Annie) Brock of Bremen, Micah Brock of Denver and Aaron (Kiersten) Brock of Tampa, FL; and six great grandchildren, Dominic and Jaxon Laurita of Lakewood, CO, Macy and Kinsley Palmer of Westminster, CO and Oliver and Noah Laurita of Stockholm, Sweden. She is also survived by a sister, Arlene (James) Brown of Merrillville, IN and many nieces and nephews. She grew up near Rensselaer and came to the area in 1943. She taught piano locally for over 50 years.  She was a very active member of Horizon Church, belonging to the Bell Choir, Stephen Ministry and Bible Study groups.  A private family service will take place with burial in the Bremen Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Horizon Church, 202 N. Center St., Bremen, with one hour of calling prior to the service. Pastor Jim Morse will officiate.
