Clarsia Haas

Clarsia May Haas, 85, also known as “Cart”, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 11:20 am. She was born on November 8, 1935 in Jackson, Michigan to Fredrick and Gladys (McClure) Milbourne. She married the love of her life Ted Haas on May 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2013. She worked at Bremen Bearings and retired from there after 35 years. She was known as a dedicated and hard worker. She treasured her two sons, Joe and Jay; and her biggest fans called her grandma. Clarsia was known for the best apple pie ever baked. She always looked forward to sleepovers with all six of the granddaughters and loved teaching them how to bake cookies. She loved to take motorcycle rides with her husband Ted. She would crotchet beautiful blankets. She also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, board games, bowling, and camping with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her dog Max. She always made sure that her family came first. Clarsia will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart. She is survived by her sons, Joe (Toni) Haas of Spring Hill, FL and Jay (Brenda) Haas of Argos, IN; her six granddaughters, Mandee (Rob) Burns, Natosha (Holger) Zink, Shaker Haas, Amber (Bob) Davis, Ashley (Brandon) Pippenger, Andrea (Mike) Fisher; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers; Greg, Gary, and Butch Milbourne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted; her sister Virginia; and two brothers, Corky and Doug. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date and a celebration of her life will be planned this summer.
