Cleo Weldy

July 7, 1938 — March 13, 2018

Cleo E. Weldy, 79, of Bremen, passed away in his home at 7:31 am, March 13, 2018 surrounded by family. Cleo was born on July 7, 1938, one of the 17 children of Irvin and Lola (Pittman) Weldy. On March 8, 1957 in Bremen, he married Elinor June Andrews. She passed away on March 16, 2016. He is survived by three children, Trend (Susan) Weldy of Bremen, Lon Weldy of Bremen and Kam (Denny) Haeck of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Jodi Strom, Jake (Risa) Petty, Josie (Glen) Klink, Ashley Matejka, Andrea (Tyler) Van Himbergen, Morgan Weldy and Paige Weldy; and six great grandchildren, A.J., Gavin, Aizlyn, Maddox, Sloan and Weston. He is also survived by three siblings, Arvin Weldy, Blanche Urednick, and Clifford Weldy, all of Bremen. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 13 siblings, Berna Edel, Clayton Weldy, Fern Kaylor, Charles Weldy, Treva Slusser, Eve Hawkins, Wayne Weldy, Norm Weldy, Nina Heltzel, Dorothy Penrose, Marvin Weldy and Noble Weldy. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 16, 2018 in the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center St., Suite C, Plymouth, IN 46563.
