David A. Swart, 62, an honorable, valued, faithful, husband, father, grandfather, and friend was unable to find light in his final days. He will provide us with G ood O rderly D irection and send as much love as he gave us on earth from Heaven above. David was born on April 6, 1956, in Olathe, Kansas. It wasn’t until September 1973, that David found unconditional love for the first time with Jo L. and sealed the deal April 24, 1976, with vows that lasted a lifetime. The “Two Sparrow’s in a Hurricane” have a son, Joshua Scott (Linda) who have given them three beautiful granddaughters, Kailee Chayse, Piper Alegra, and Harbour Adler. Just two years after Josh blessed their lives, a daughter rounded out their perfect dream of a family when Brooke Nikole was born. Brooke has given them three beautiful grandchildren, Brylie Reece, Seth Kane, and Elle Maci. Two new “girls”, Sailor Rent (toy red poodle) and Scout Anchor (mini golden doodle) joined their lives in the past two years and added much joy. David and Jo raised their family in Bremen, while summertime was spent boating until their dream of having a lake home came true. To “keep the kids coming back” Lake Tippecanoe became their new residence; Bremen friends remained with added new ones! David spent his life making friends wherever he tread, superseding all expectations. He began his career in Agri-business, as the youngest sales manager ever hired at Van Dale. He found his niche in Fuel Chemicals and has national respect and reputation for his knowledge, integrity, and honesty. Recently he retired from the Chemical Fuel Industry where he held a Patent with General Electric. David served as President in 2009 & 2010 for the Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners and was awarded Distinguished Lake Citizen in 2015 for Stewardship and Leadership. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Eco-zone to protect and preserve the wetlands for future generations. He was active and generous in The Watershed Foundation. David was a member of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, a scuba diver, laker, Lexus driver, green egg chef, waffle maker, and the most thoughtful, humble man to ever grace our presence. He demonstrated this through his generous gift of skin and tissue donation. David is survived by three sisters, Deborah (Tom) Woehler, Denise (Dave) Stover, Diane (Bruce) Kink, sister-in-law’s, Lorisa Loy, Sarina (Doug) Vining, Susan (Dave) Kaiser, and several nieces and nephews, who valued him and his loving Kansas family. His mother survives, his father preceded him. On January 4, 2019, at Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 Plymouth St., Bremen, a time of healing with family will be held from 2:00-5:00 & 6:00-8:00. On January 5, 2019, in the church, another opportunity for healing will be held one hour before the service, which will begin at 2:00 pm., where everyone has an opportunity to eulogize David. Immediately following, there will be a CELEBRATION of David’s life at the VFW 8972, Bremen, complements of his mentor, Kevin Robie! In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Or The Watershed Foundation North Webster, IN
